But they will mention it. It looks like in your post above, you have over-typed your own words into the field where my words were. Not a problem - certainly not here, in this rather silly and jokey thread. Really, I don't mind. However, it may be a problem with the basschat software, that allows users to amend what they are quoting. I must have misinterpreted your replies If so My apologies No harm no foul 1 Quote

Crikey, what an industry Hollywood is. So many folk falling down due to pressures that few others would have experienced in a whole lifetime. I wonder if he lost his home to the wildfires They are all living in a different reality than us. that's for sure. California is somewhere I will not go - L.A. is a shite show- Beverly hills got lucky I don't think they lost much to fires ,I could be wrong malibu - palisades and more are pretty much not there anymore . ALOT of Hollywood elite lost everything. Quote

A few years ago I was ready to have a triple neck bass a 4 string a 6 string .a 12 str made by luthier near me. The design was finished , I wanted a bass that would be my signature bass. The luthier said if I wanted him to make it He could and would. 2 wks later he said if he could he would But He can't so he won't Flats on the,4 string rotosound swing bass custom gauge on the 6 string. I was gonna Frankenstein the 12 str. I never got a reason as to his change of mind There ya go a bass that would have had flats and rounds I lost interest in a 3 neck soon enough 1 Quote

Of course, attention was focussed on Hollywood. I was appalled by the absence of any comparison to what everyone who was not a media success was experiencing. I was starting to feel quite ill watching it so I switched it off. Huge sympathy here for EVERYONE who has been touched by the disaster. Some can recover but many have lost everything. Quote
Geek99 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Yes, @Bluewine has got the hang of our humour now (he’s in Milwaukee, I think) and @dclaassen is resident here. You’ll get us soon enough, banter is always heavily cultural and IME pubs are different to US bars in some ways so some of the pub content may be a little opaque to you. 2 Quote
