Kentish Bass Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hello! I have one of those bargain Harley Benton power supplies fit neatly under my Pedtrain Max. The only thing is that the power cable is pretty flimsy. What is a good, robust, replacement? thanks! Robert Quote

synthaside Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) Do you mean one of these https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant.htm If so that's just a kettle lead also known as IEC C13 and should be available very inexpensively on Amazon. Can i make an alternative suggestion/pitch for the battery bank ones, buying the cheap Harley Benton pedal power bank, has led my pedal use/life to improve dramatically by not having to plug the damn things into the wall ... no more horrid daisy chains / Dirty power introducing noise into my pedal chain, has meant I can now stack effects and has essentially made my noise gate redundant... They do two based on how big a battery you need, I've gotten the bigger one and it lasts a couple of months between charges .. I do 2 4 hour rehearsals a week and home practice in between. and all it takes is to notice the light on 1 blip when I'm using it to chuck it on charge overnight, Via USb C. https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant_powerbank.htm , https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant_powerbank_mk2.htm Edited January 30 by synthaside 2 Quote
Bassmidget209 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I know what you mean I have the same issue. If it's the same one as me is the the 12v wall wart that goes into the iso-pro? I don't have much of a solution, what I've done is buy two replacement ones off thomann. They're not very expensive but it is a significant designflaw/ weak point in the setup. I also have made a small patch lead with a female socket on one end. I've attached this to one of the outside edges of the board so it's easier to plug in without flipping the whole board. Don't know if this will expand the life of the supply as a whole but the main thing is buying a replacement and a spare, possibly another spare lol. I've had the power supply for about two years I think and I've only recently gubbed up the wall wart. Anyways I'm all ears to anyone who has found a suitable sturdy replacement. Quote
synthaside Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) if its a 12 volt 2000mA from one of these https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant_iso_2_pro.htm you could try this , looks good and sturdy but priced accordingly. https://www.amazon.co.uk/KFD-Adapter-Negative-Controller-Amplifier/dp/B0DG5BCGF6/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2YCU62AJ27Y2I&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.E9cQlm8WGOsNwifSGG_S3h_2-GsteqRJigcOPDcuO6hgw4O1Pg2mHutDWb-2M70pWEuN3gZ9x6kPP3oaHoSfL4aY29WhNStjzP5XlTf78BiszvF1H_uj_xqxMfOiSZgIQLsy0Fw4o_7ySri3YwrOUwcLvWzkq4g-CbrZAHcMO_DsJQrURyXY6IvWg6LLnY-3wEoQujERa1zYR1cJFLnFnlAmF-bqOJmJlMROs6NvCJE.euJn3vXTKjA6SNtJa00iWU9zPgy5cPxshdCiXX93h2I&dib_tag=se&keywords=12v+2000+mA+centre+negative&qid=1738247806&sprefix=12v+2000+ma+centre+negative%2Caps%2C75&sr=8-4 Edited January 30 by synthaside Quote
Gank Bass Posted January 30 Posted January 30 The HB ones with a kettle lead are built like a brick sh*t house. Been gigging 2/3 times a month with mine for about 3 years with no issues 🤟 Quote
