I have an Encore Coaster with an identical bridge and offset through-body/ferrule arrangement. Are the 2 related then?

I've got one of these, in solid black with B/W/B pickguard and maple neck & board. I don't play it that much, but every time I dig it out I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it plays. It had a little too much mid "honk" for me, so I stuck an EMG-P in it and now it's sweeeeeet.

I'd say it was worth a punt, but the shipping to the UK pretty much rules that out. Not to mention customs and VAT...

For anyone smitten by vintage Korean plywood GAS, this is the same bass, different colour:

That's probably a DiMarzio in this one, they were standard on a lot of Hondos from this era.

July by the looks of things.

The thing is I promised Mrs WPD no more basses this year in January, 3 basses later and a custom to come......

I'm also looking at buying an SVT she is a very understanding lady.

But seriously I'm going to keep an eye on this.
