sprocketflup Posted February 1 Posted February 1 What's your take on it? Which do you think is the most compact touring case for a Fender P? I'm using Hiscox cases at the moment but cant help wondering if I could free up some valuable car space with something else Quote
Lozz196 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The Fender Red Label shaped cases are a bit more streamlined than Hiscox cases, difficult to come by though. But in a car, as there’s less rattling around than in the back of a van I’d be tempted to use a Mono M80 gig bag. Quote
Steve Browning Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The SKB FB4 is pretty much the same case. A much better fit for a Precision bass. Quote
ped Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I never really understood Hiscox cases. They’re really thick, and I’ve never had one where the shell hadn’t come away from the aluminium edging. Suppose they’re quite light, but that’s it. They played a master stroke by making them easily moulded with manufacturer names on the side, though. 1 Quote
bassbiscuits Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I’ve had a few Hiscox cases for acoustic guitars and basses. They end up spending most of their lives in my garage, unused. I’ve ended up with Protection Racket cases instead - not as rigid, and still bulky, but light and with shoulder straps and big pockets. Quote
