tegs07 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Well the term Trumpcession is gaining traction in the markets so he might achieve this imminently. 8 minutes ago, peteb said: I don't think that he really cares if it will be all bad, as long as he is remembered more than his predecessors ! Quote
prowla Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Trump and Poo-tin (as he pronounces it) do seem to be in a race to the bottom. Quote

Agent 00Soul Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I went down the rabbit hole a bit. Some stuff from US socials: "Many people support Trump as a wrecking ball. They view society itself is irredeemably corrupted (some for religious reasons, some for anti-capitalist reasons) and desire it to be fully destroyed. Because they think they will get to decide what takes his place." Here's an amalgamation of Trump voters the person above made: "Yeah man, I didn't vote for Trump, I didn't vote at all, but I wanted Trump to win. I just think we need a new paradigm. Sure a lot of people will get hurt in the process, and maybe it's a little privileged of me, but I think it would be better if things collapsed, then people could just live, like, a more day-to-day existence and I think that would be good. Death is nothing to be afraid of." 1 Quote

There is bound to be a reaction to the political elite which have been self-serving and eroded liberties in the name of some greater good; we're seeing it across European countries too. The yanks just went for the nuclear option. But then again what was their choice really, given the candidates in front of them. From our perspective this side of the pond, neither Obama nor Biden were particularly our besties either. 2 Quote

Staggering on Posted 4 minutes ago Posted 4 minutes ago Breaking news: Things just changed again, details are still unclear but some tariffs are now changed to an April deadline. Our federal government is studying the documents before commenting and same for provincial governments. This is really bizarre. 🙄 Quote
