dudewheresmybass Posted Monday at 11:18 Posted Monday at 11:18 (edited) Morning all. Been trying to source a spare part for a broken boss FV 500 H however it’s like trying to source unicorn poo. As I bought it from a shop that no longer exists, I can’t register the product and therefore access an email address to talk to someone. Their phone number has only a recorded message and no amount of trying has been able to source an email address to contact them directly. I spoke to Andertons who were very helpful but unable to move this forward. Is anyone able to help please? If I can’t get any help I will have to bin a large lump of metal - not something I’d look forward to doing. Any help would be much appreciated thank you. Quatschmacher Posted Monday at 11:29 Posted Monday at 11:29 (edited) Sometimes contacting bigger companies via Facebook / FB messenger is more fruitful than other avenues. Edited Monday at 11:29 by Quatschmacher 1 Quote
JazzyJ Posted Monday at 12:41 Posted Monday at 12:41 I recently acquired a GX-100 and was able to register it via my Roland Boss backstage account. Select the 'bought secondhand' option and was able to access a support web page for part numbers and availability through dealer partnerships. Hope that helps. 1 Quote
Iheartreverb Posted Monday at 19:42 Posted Monday at 19:42 (edited) It would be worth creating a ticket with Roland directly, https://www.roland.com/backstage/login They might put you in touch with a retailer as a special order if they can’t sell to you directly, which I don’t think they can. Also worth contacting retailers who have Roland employees on site, previously referred to as Roland Planet. I think both PMT and GuitarGuitar both do. Edited Monday at 19:43 by Iheartreverb 1 Quote
markbunney Posted Monday at 21:14 Posted Monday at 21:14 There’s also the Roland Boss shop near Tottenham Court Road station. I’ve been in there before and heard them talking to customers on the phone. 1 Quote
songofthewind Posted yesterday at 07:57 Posted yesterday at 07:57 As suggested above, try this email address: [email protected] The guy who replied to my particular enquiry was Huw Lloyd-Williams. Despite the email address he is in the UK. Roland have a list of certified repairers, which is what Huw might direct you to: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en&mid=1ufxdlNwWP6MtTncc3gCTcrqIUXA&ll=55.25912902791857%2C-0.2807196689598612&z=6 1 Quote
Pea Turgh Posted yesterday at 20:35 Posted yesterday at 20:35 Pretty sure Roland still have a big place here in Swansea. That name certainly sounds local! 1 Quote

dudewheresmybass Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago I've now managed to raise a ticket on the backstage area. I named it as a secondhand purchase, and mentioned on the ticket that it was new at purchase. Let's see how this goes....... Quote
