Agree... played out of the track, his style is surprising..and that isn't so unusual ..Rainey, Johnson, Verdine White, Randy Jackson are others that have that 'uniqueness', but mixed in, it is something else.

Big dude, small hands..? but he gets it done..

Guy I know in the states recently picked up an LG5 in white with matching headstock and a tort guard - looks seriously nice!

It's an LM5 from the winter Namm show before last - same as the one the Pbass came from.

Plays amazing and is quite light too - a bonus for me.

Cool basses!

Thanks Mick.

Woohoo - lovely! Is this an ash body (I think its the RAs that are maple-alder)? The binding appears to be very nicely executed. I love the Alleva etching on the pickups too - very nice touch (this doesn't appear on the four cases)

Thanks guys it is Ash/Maple and very different sounding to Birdy's LG5's that I've played - much brighter - total slap heaven!!

I felt the LG5 might be too dark played through my Berg NV412 but this should be 'just right'!

I really am struggling to decide which of the other two basses to move on - I really love the Precision but I tend to play the Sklold more - also I think the Skjold will be harder to sell at a reasonable price. Strange how they don't appear to hold resale that well compared to some other makes - I rate the Skjold up there with anything really.

Still want an LG5 too!!!!!!!

Just played Flankers LM5 and its amazing!! 70's Jazz vibe down to a tee but can get mean and ballsy when needed too.

Super playable low action as well. I think I may get rid of an LG5 and get an LM5 so I have one of each !!

How much (ballpark) are you talking about for an LG5 second hand? (braces for impact and subsequent sharp intake of breath!)
