jonnybass Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Hi I decided to update my HX Stomp XL today and midst update my macbook went into sleep mode. This generated an error message and now the stomp is stuck on the load screen. Any ideas how to fix this? My Macbook (2020 M1 chip) wont install Line 6 updater and my desktop (2013 running Catalina) wont install the Line 6 HX stomp XL drivers. Do i now just have a very expensive door stop? Can i carry out a factory reset without a computer? Jonny Quote
BigRedX Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Try this: 1. Delete whatever Line6 Updater software you already have on your Mac, restart and download again. 2. On the HX Stomp there should be a foot switch combination to press on power up which puts it into update mode, read the manual to find out what it is. 3. Now run the updater. Make sure that your computer isn't set to go to sleep at all. I do all my Helix firmware updates from a my desktop machine that has sleep permanently turned off. If this doesn't work get in touch with Line6. You may need to send the Stomp back to them for a reset. I hope you made a backup of all your patches. Quote
jonnybass Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Thanks Big Red X 1.I'm trying this I need to restart my desktop which i can do later today. Hopefully it will work. Annoying that my macbook just wont allow me to run the Line 6 updater. 2.ready to try this once step 1 is complete. 3.Yeah lesson learned there. Sleep mode will be well and truly off. I did, although to be honest i use 4 patches at the moment. I was about to start working building a whole load. Jonny Quote
