BassmanPaul Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I hope you did the math to verify if the new drivers were a suitable match for your existing box. Be careful with a screwdriver in an electric drill. It's far too easy for it to slip and go through the cone. (Ask me how I know!) Quote

Tbh I consulted with Celestion as they supplied the speakers for the build, and they were good I’m a sparky by trade so I’m well used to using that drill so all good 2 Quote

David Morison Posted February 22 Posted February 22 To be fair, the D112 is one of the less heavily contoured of the typical kick mics (only about 6dB before accounting for proximity effect), so better for other instruments than say, a Sennheiser e902 with over 20dB of shaping built in. 1 Quote
BassmanPaul Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) I found it interesting that you couldn't find a 4x12 cabinet in the UK. Before I left for Toronto in 1973 virtually everyone was using 4x12 cabinets. I owned a Marshal 4x12 with the 'bent' baffle. LOL who knew things had changed that much!! Enjoy the results of your efforts! Edited March 21 by BassmanPaul Quote
