Music Man Stingray ’87

Rare EB Stingray from the early years. It’s one of the first that came with the 3eq preamp, and it has a rare factory original Inca Silver finish (which has aged to more of a greenish silver). This finish wasn’t officially available back then, so it might be a one off that has been made at special request.

The bass sounds great with good dynamics, like you want from a good Stingray. It has Fender 45-105 nps strings fitted currently.

All hardware and electronics work like they should. The neck is straight and well adjustable. The frets show little wear.
The bass has small damages and usermarks. There is a bigger bump at the upper horn on the back. The body shows fine finish checking all over (which you only see in certain light). The pickguard has small cracks around the screw holes.

Weight comes in a 4,85kg on my kitchen scales.

As much as I like this Stingray, I have to let it go. An old injury returned, which means heavier basses aren’t comfortable for me to play standing for a longer while. So I’ll be looking for a lighter alternative.

Price €2.550

I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk and expense.

A straight sale is preferred, but you can always try me with (partial) trades. I'm interested in bass and guitar stuff.

Per example: Modulus 34" quantum or earlier Flea, rickenbacker 4001, Music Man Stingray Pre-EB (not too heavy, natural or mocha preferred), usa EBMM sterling model...
Othwerwise a strat/jazzmaster or other offset,  Epiphone sj200 acoustic guitar, a small tube amp for guitar. And Maybe even a refinished 60s Fender jazz bass (<='66 dots and binding).

In any case instruments should weigh no more than 4,3kg.

I've got more basses that I could add in a trade if needed.
