Anyone used this surge protected extension lead?

I ordered this online and received it today, it's Belkin brand and I found it says on the box that it is for medium sized appliances, not sure what constitutes medium sized appliances?

 

will be used for a large-ish combo amp and some smaller items (power supply for pedals, possibly a smallish guitar amp)

 

Has anyone used this particular surge protected extension lead? Will this be up to the job? Thanks

Ok answered my own question, looked into a bit more and I will need more than 650 joules protection, we live and we learn.

An extension with a switch is no go for stage use. Will be destroyed in months.

I have one from the same range but double wide that's been under my computer desk for years, works well for that application.
