Stagg EUB 5 string & stand - £225
£250
East Sussex

I bought the basic Stagg EUB a couple of years ago (it didn't have any of the brackets/supports - whatever you call them but I have a stand for keeping it in the playing position) and copied someone else's conversion on here ie. plugged a couple of the tailpiece holes and redrilled for three strings. Enlarged the headpiece space and plugged the tuner holes to fit three tuners on the treble side and made a new nut from ebony. This would easily convert back to a four stringer if wanted.

The reason for selling - I've never got round to playing it live and I've just introduced 2 of my fingers to an electric circular saw, and being self employed and now not able to work for a few weeks, everything has to go to pay the bills.

Would it play arco?

No idea. The bridge is the original Stagg one (I’ve just shunted the strings around so that they all fit) so I assume if you could play on the 4 string then you should be able to with this.
