Johnebass Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings on my 34" scale Stingray 5 and I'm really happy with them, I know that they are not evryone's cup of tea but for me they are great. I am looking for a spare bass, possibly a Lakland which of course is 35" scale and I am wondering if the EB Reg slinky's are going to be long enough. At present on my Stingray the windings on the B string go about 20mm past the nut which presumably on a 35" scale bass with through body stringing would leave them short?? Has anyone else come across this issue, maybe I'm worrying about nothing but I dont want to buy a new bass then have to go through a whole range of new strings to find something I like. Any comments would be helpfull. Thanks J Quote
