I bought the Bass VI from a well known guitar shop in 2010, it was sold on behalf of a well known musician who’s name is on the receipt, not the one who’s name and band name are on the case so I don’t know anything about that other than that is exactly how the case was when I bought it.
It was a blue refinish when I got it and I had it redone in Dakota red nitro cellulose with a matching headstock and correct style decal, back of neck is original finish. It is a darker red than I can get in the pictures, looking like vintage originals, with chips, dings and checking. The pic guard is not original but made from mint green 3 ply. Two of the machine heads are original but the rest replaced with two different kinds from different periods. Pots have been changed and I’m not sure about the wiring although the pick ups, switches, and control plate and knobs are original as is the trem but the trem arm is missing. Original frets, string tree and strap buttons. Truss rod turns ok. I’m not willing to send this so it’s a collection only where you are welcome to inspect before buying. Thanks, G

Always found the first version of the Bass VI so cool, with their unique-looking pups and the lack of a strangle circuit.

GLWTS!
