Bloobybob Posted February 25 Posted February 25 For a while now, I’ve been having fun at home removing bass parts from my favorite songs to jam along with them in a real playback setting. It allowed me to lay down my own bassline, work on my groove, and sometimes even improvise. Over time, I built up a collection of stems with the bass removed, and I figured—why not share them? I know there are already plenty of bass tab videos on YouTube, but most of them have the YouTuber playing over the track, which doesn’t really leave room for you to play freely. What I wanted was a real playback experience—no bass, just the track, so I could jam as if I were in the band. That’s why I started https://www.youtube.com/@playbass31 No ego, no personal showcase—just pure sharing between bassists. I’m not trying to make money (everything is under copyright anyway). The only goal here is to help other bassists have fun and groove on their favorite tracks. If that sounds cool, search for PLAYBASS - Bass Playback n' Tabs on YouTube and check it out. Let me know which songs you’d like in a bass-free version, and I’d love to add them! 🎸🔥 💥 Let’s groove! See you there! 💥 1 4 Quote
thebrig Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Excellent, I must admit that with any new songs I have to learn, I always use Moises to remove the original bass line for practising, but I think it's great that you are making the tracks available for others to use as well. I've subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work. Quote
bass_dinger Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Very good indeed. I was very pleased to see that there is tab accompanying the video, which means that the resource is player-ready. No bass on the track? Nowhere to hide for the bassist! Quote
SH73 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I have been playing along bass backing tracks on You Tube for many years. There are several softwares to remove or isolate tracks. Which software or Daw you use? Quote
uk_lefty Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Great job @Bloobybobi love how you've arranged them by tuning too. Thank you!! Quote
Bloobybob Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 First of all, excuse my english (i'm french, that's why...) For those who are interested, I use STEMROLLER. Try it! Open source (free), you can make unlimited STEMS of your MP3, even your videos! It made drums, guitars, bass and voices like every soft, but this one extract piano and "others", like flutes, synths.... I've made STEMS of all my discography!!! Enjoy! Quote
