No hit on the serial number. Not sure if that's significant or not.

If it was really valuable, wouldn't the seller have managed to do more of a description than three generated sentences?

Saw it and wondered that myself - the bridge isn’t original because it would’ve been a two saddle job. The Tele Bass was introduced in 1968 I believe.

I never really studied the tele bass much, it was re-introduced in 68 I think, it’s an Interesting one, the neck plate dates to 68 with the large F , looks like small ferrules on the body stringing too

Serial number is '67 according to andy baxter website. Bridge and control plate have been replaced over the years, but still a nice bit of kit.

Messaged the seller to inform them of what they have and its value.

Yeah definitely

Mine is a ‘72, the humbucker adds around a kilogram in weight to it 🤭

Massive tone!

‘72 Tele is a tone to die for in the right setting , not versatile, but what it does it pretty special

Yep - mine had the typical mod of an extra pickup - a P bass pickup. It is very versatile as a result but not really for the collector or purists.

I’m currently putting together a Precision with a Dimarzio DP145 (with series/parallel switching), and I’m rather excited 👍

That’s actually nicely done with the white pick up covers - I’m usually not a fan of the white covers, but in this instance it seems less invasive somehow😎👍🏻

Gotta love this line: “It is a type of guitar specifically designed for playing bass notes in music.”. Ya don’t say! 😂

Difficult to see in the photo but it looks like there could be a crack / repair running from the E string tuner towards the neck on the reverse side?

This is common on these basses.

This one is (relatively) local to me and I bet there’s a story with it. Will take one of the team and stick in a speculative bid.
