d-basser Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I don't have any pre cut but I could probably look at laser cutting something at work. Does it have to be foam? I wonder if black acrylic would look better? 1 1 Quote
lemmywinks Posted February 26 Posted February 26 You can import pickup rings for a J bass, probably cheaper to make or 3D print some though. There's an STL file here if you have access to a 3D printer or a fellow BCer can help you out: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/jazz-bass-pick-up-ring-bridge 1 Quote
lemmywinks Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Another idea would be to make some from wood that anchor underneath the pickup cover. Quote
PaulThePlug Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Thanks for all the above... With likely issues with corner radius, and fitment around the ears etc i haven't pursued the 3D print route So was just looking for the outline sponge to push in the cavity around the pickup keep things simple. I was happy with the SR300 with the Maida Vale Stacked J's Quote
Hellzero Posted February 26 Posted February 26 @PaulThePlug, I'll check in a moment if I haven't some spare grey foam... Who knows... Quote
PaulThePlug Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 @Hellzero I think the Red ones you sent me worked out about a tenner postage from Belgium... Fingers crossed on the UK 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Ok, so I don't need to open all these drawers and boxes... 1 Quote
