Modulus Q6 6-String Bass - *SOLD* £2300 germany/cologne

For sale is my Modulus Quantum 6-string. The bass has a 35" scale length, the body is made of alder and for the looks there is a beautiful top made of flamed maple. In addition, of course, it has the Modulus typical carbon neck. The three-band preamp and pickups are from Bartolini. The bass is in excellent condition - I can’t find any scratches, dents or other damage. The fretwork is absolutely excellent and allows for an extremely low action. Accordingly, the bass is absolutely effortless to play. As an accessory there is a case from SKB. The case has a small crack on one corner, but it is still perfect for shipping. My asking price is 2300 GBP or 2800€.

Two first numbers of the serial behind the headstock. There you have it. This particular bass is less than 30 years old, because of the truss rod.

Thanks, I didn't know that. It is indeed from 2004.

The whole name of this bass is (was):

Modulus (Graphite) Quantum 6 SPi Custom.

SPi = bolt on neck

Custom = bartolinis, and that flame maple top

Black HW used to belong to custom options. The neck does not have fretboard dots which would have also been a custom option earlier.

 

I liked the thinness of the neck, but I never felt at home with my 5SPi, because of that 17 mm string spacing. Came from a rehearsal an hour ago, where I played my dear Genesis 5 which has 19 mm spacing. MGs are fabulous and flexible instruments. Except those rigid necks.
