edstraker123 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) What a shame - such a lovely bass which has been completely neglected - maybe stored in sea water ! A snip at the price š Ā https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/316340774022?_skw=pink+strat&itmmeta=01JN61JS8NJ7X7N2GQPS1C4962&hash=item49a7612486:g:LVMAAOSwB3Nnt1x4&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1dNdLteqfnQg2BA5uBpAlIMXoc5ED5ZAJrLWpzqNrIC6Sb0tAOOcze2PoimDLyLUj0kkn34jyn5kWbOB0tj8vvlW4tt0LUUvfeC0YWFXB4eSi8YoAdWVe0zjnylWORv%2F38hEx0Cj5lIgrtG3CW2m3U0aN58BGKLEraXD308lZB2C5KOYVth4Oqeec9DMgL0x80tpKCcOQ6MWmJUtyw3d%2F070RtgCLbSS4fV7nnMzJNLL3vjnYoOnVT2QcPd9iTaSsg%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7qUy8GpZQ Edited February 28 by edstraker123 1 Quote
tauzero Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Looks as if it's been sweated on a lot and put away for a few years with those rusted up bridge springs and screws and the spotty pickup poles and strings. Machine heads look in pretty good order, don't think there's an issue with where it's been stored. Whoever strung it up has no idea about how to deal with string ends though. And I would guess that it ought to be half that price. 1 Quote
Beedster Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I've owned basses in worse condition, but those strings..... Ā The Fender rosewood necks have had a mixed reception with much talk of movement/instability and sharp/protruding frets, which is a shame because they look bloody lovely Ā Quote

There was a similar strat in my LGS which was absolutely stunning and I wondered why it had taken them so long to sell it. Quote

Either was I'd be giving it a wide berthĀ Ā Quote

If I wanted a painted 4-string that was far too expensive simply for the name on the headstock, I'd consider this. 1 Quote
Burns-bass Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I have one of these and have used it for hundreds of gigs. Ā Itās an amazing bass and the Rosewood board is solid as a rock and beautifully made. Ā This has the vintage pickups which sound great and a really well designed bridge. Ā I paid less than this when the bass was brand new, however. Quote
Burns-bass Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Hereās mine cuddling a Brompton. Quite why itās doing this I donāt know. 1 Quote

edstraker123 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago Looking at the state of this it could have done with mudguards! Do they really think somebody will pay that for it ? Wonder what they gave the seller š Quote
