triplebass Posted Friday at 22:58 Posted Friday at 22:58 got this general disaster in a trade for some pedals i wasn’t using and it turned out to be a beauty! the neck is too narrow, the electronics are a mess, the bridge is a joke, but i love how it feels, sounds and it’s super inspiring every time i pick it up… i love the other basses in the house as well, but never expected this to become such a thing, i guess you never can tell… 14 Quote
Mykesbass Posted Friday at 23:03 Posted Friday at 23:03 Wow, that jack socket is, err.... But yes, can see how enjoyable such a bass could be. Quote

Dom in Dorset Posted Saturday at 06:54 Posted Saturday at 06:54 I own four Eko acoustics, never tried an Eko bass though, quite jealous ! Quote
Sean Posted Saturday at 08:57 Posted Saturday at 08:57 I don't think I've ever seen pickups like that before. what do all the switches do? Whatever you think, you can't argue with Eko's choice of trussrod adjustment. Quote
BigRedX Posted Saturday at 09:05 Posted Saturday at 09:05 I don't think that neck was originally on that body - look how much space there is in the neck pocket. The body and and bridge/tail-piece have a distinct Hagstrom/Futurama vibe, and would have had a similar inverted jack socket. Quote
triplebass Posted Saturday at 10:25 Author Posted Saturday at 10:25 it's a Eko neck on a Hagstrom body, that explains the extra space in the socket. The switches do a bunch of things i don't understand as i don't really care but i do enjoy 2 positions very much Quote

With those Dimarzio(?) pickups it could be anything. 1 Quote
snorkie635 Posted Saturday at 12:29 Posted Saturday at 12:29 IIRC, don't Stonefield use a similar jack-socket on their uber-expensive creations? Quote

Cosmo Valdemar Posted Saturday at 22:10 Posted Saturday at 22:10 Stonefield seem to be taking a few design hints... Quote

lemmywinks Posted Sunday at 13:53 Posted Sunday at 13:53 How many bourbon biscuits can you fit in the neck pocket gaps? Sometimes it's cool to find a janky old bass and have fun playing it. Quote

Little Dragon Posted Monday at 15:20 Posted Monday at 15:20 I strangely quite like the jack socket but those tuners ruin the headstock. Quote
