dannybuoy
Bought this here not so long ago out of curiousity, but have decided it's not for me so would rather pass it on to fund more GAS induced purchases! It has 2 controls, blend and texture. Blend is a clean blend so you can have it full on fuzz or just a hair of distortion behind your clean bass sound. Texture is plain fuzz at the far right and nasty octave up fuzz at the far left. Because of the blend you can have the octave up fuzz (which sucks lows) and blend the lows back in from the clean signal. A nice trick I found was to play very softly high up on the neck with 60/40 blend and texture about halfway, it sounds like a guitar due to the octave up - then dig in hard and the clean blended sound then becomes relatively louder than the fuzz so it's like a bass kicks in to join the guitar - sound like two instruments! Here's the product page: http://www.freewebs.com/paisleypedals/paisleyquasar.htm Excellent condition (just 2 miniscule paint chips) and £80 new, yours for £45 posted! dannybuoy
I forgot to add, it also works perfectly with active basses. In fact it works even better with active as it sounds real heavy with a hot signal going into it. I'm busy this weekend but will try and find time to record a clip!
