chris_b Posted yesterday at 12:56 Posted yesterday at 12:56 (edited) IME bass players are the ones with brains, who can pack a van, write great set lists and come up with better arrangements. We're also the ones holding the band together. Edited yesterday at 12:57 by chris_b 1 Quote
PaulWarning Posted yesterday at 13:06 Posted yesterday at 13:06 tbf that pie chart could also apply to drummers. The band did an acoustic gig on Sunday where I play guitar, no very well I might add, and a woman came up gave me a hug and kissed me on the neck, trouble was we were half way through a song and I made a right pig's ear of the rest of it. Never happens when I play bass, perhaps as well really 😂 1 1 Quote

Re this as typically I wear different sizes depending on brand (Gildan L, Fruit of Loom XL) could you advise of which they`re nearer to size-wise? Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted yesterday at 14:29 Posted yesterday at 14:29 (edited) Lozz, this design is on a black Gildan 5000 shirt. If you want to double check the size, there's also a link to a pop-up size guide on the page below the size selection drop-down. Edited yesterday at 14:35 by Jean-Luc Pickguard 1 Quote

itu Posted yesterday at 15:02 Posted yesterday at 15:02 Once a good looking lady came to me after our sets, and asked if our drummer was available for a meet. NO! was my immediate answer, and it would have been the same, no matter his marital status. Quote
mikebass456 Posted yesterday at 15:37 Posted yesterday at 15:37 I find that being the bassist allows me to get my gear packed into the car and away quickest after a gig, as everyone wants to talk to the singer/guitarist/drummer.....😁🤘 1 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted yesterday at 15:38 Posted yesterday at 15:38 The only time I was propositioned after a gig, I had to politely decline the offer in question saying, "I'd love to, but I don't think my wife would be too happy about it" Quote

chris_b Posted yesterday at 17:47 Posted yesterday at 17:47 (edited) I was on a "tour". Thursday in Bury and next night in Keighley. As we had a spare afternoon we did a session at a local school for the students. Afterwards they were invited to chat to the band and ask questions. Everyone had queues of kids asking about their instruments. . . . except me!! Not a single student wanted to talk about bass! Ho Hum! Edited yesterday at 17:49 by chris_b 4 Quote

I just sat there ignored, unloved and trying not to burst into tears!! I did chat with the singer. No one wanted to talk to her either. 1 Quote

On 15th April, 2003 I had no voice as I'd screamed so much at the Duran Duran reunion tour at Wembley the night before! We had the strangest drive home too - heavy fog on the way back to Devon, and my friend who was driving played Kraftwerk all the way. So tell us Rosie, did your friend win? Quote
