shoulderpet Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Hi I am interested in these strings, am after something low tension, I know these are supposed to be lower tension than average but how much lower? For example would a 100-40 nickel set of these be similar tension to your average 95-40 set of nickel rounds?(average being something like Daddario XL or Fender Nickel) thank you Quote
Terry M. Posted March 4 Posted March 4 If you're after low tension also include DR Sunbeams (nickel) or Highbeams (steel) in your search. They're round core. Quote
shoulderpet Posted Sunday at 18:32 Author Posted Sunday at 18:32 (edited) So, I got a set of these in medium scale for my Ibanez AGB200, put the strings on and then noticed some buzz on the D string, had a look and the other strings are fine but the D string taper starts between the nut and the 1st fret, either they have packed a short scale string or that is some seriously shoddy quality control. fretmeister Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago The Mark Bass Advanced SS "soft touch" strings are low tension and very flexible. Andertons have them at a bargain price at the moment. Quote
