I placed this order quite some time ago, so long ago in fact that I don’t even have the original email chain with all of the details on it. I did ask Jon to ping the spec back to me so I can share it with everyone, but this beauty arrived today. It’s not the first lavish spec Shuker I’ve owned, so I know how good his work is, but this is quite something. The preamp/pickup combo is fierce, a really biting tone. Soon as I get Jon to send the spec back to me I’ll share!

Thanks everyone!

I have asked Jon to ping over all the specs we went for, I know the preamp is an East. Neck profile is very slim - I have daft stumpy fingers! It’s super flamey roasted maple and I think there’s some wenge in there as well.

The build actually took the best part of three years, but that’s on me - I specifically asked Jon to take his time over it. I’m a contractor and I was trying to spread dividends as much as possible. I think the usual lead time is around 18 months.

Very nice. But I think I may need to hand in my BC gun and badge because I just zoomed in to check out the Air Max collection! 😁

As for the air max, I’ll pop another photo of those up later. I have a pretty serious collection - there’s Parra’s, both Atmos Elephants (the 2007 OG’s and the 2017 reissue), LDN’s, HUF’s. I’ve got a pretty wild collection of Jordan’s, Raygun and Habibi dunks, various Travis Scott’s, etc…….

Nice one, you can't go wrong with and East Preamp, and Jon does make very nice slim yet stable necks.

Looks like a cracking bass.

Was this your old Shuker Horn? Where did this one end up?

Yes that’s my old bass. I’d do anything to be reunited with it!! I was hard up years ago and had to sell it, not a clue where it is now.

Still waiting on Jon confirming specs back to me, soon as he does I will share. Gmail is absolutely terrible for storing sent items, so I can’t find the original email exchange.

I had a blue 6 string bound-edged Jazz bass with electric blue fingerboard led markers from Jon that I ended up selling through Bass Direct. If anyone knows where that ended up? 🤔

I think that might be owned (or was owned) by @jamesbur

That's the one! That's my old bass! Wonder if he knows that it's got blue LEDs up the fingerboard? I don't think it was mentioned on the Bass Direct website, even though I told Mark at the time when I dropped it off......🤔. One of the controls is a push pull, which activates them, but I can't remember which one it is now!

I seem to recall (not that my memory is that great these days lol) that I’d seen pics of James with the LEDs on.. (He’s in the same county as me), but judging by the ad, the bass is sold now.

Here's my pair of Shukers!

The five string is my first one, which I ordered after meeting Jon at The Embassy in Mansfield Woodhouse.

The four string jazz has red LED side dot markers and will be out with me at tonight's blues gig in town 😎👍
