AlexDelores Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Hey all, I’ve got an issue with my Squier Jaguar. It had a loose jack socket and I’ve accidentally twisted the wireless while it was inside and it’s broken this cable off… I’ve never touched pickups or electrics on a bass before but I’d quite like to try and fix this myself as it’s a pretty cheap non gigging bass and, well I need to start somewhere… It looks like this little white cable is soldered from the jack socket to the pot that’s marked… Am I correct or have I got this completely wrong? Also, would I better stripping it off the control plate or just resoldering it in sitchu? Thanks in advance Alex Quote

Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted March 6 Posted March 6 While you're in there, your future self will thank you if you junk the existing socket and replace it with a switchcraft or pure tone one. 2 Quote
