Aguilar DB599 comp query

Hey folks,

 

I’ve got one of the above in my compressor brood and have a question:

 

If anyone has one, can you get unity gain with the compressor maxed out (with the gain also maxed out).

 

I seem to only be able to get unity with the gain full when the compressor is around 2 O’Clock or so, any more comp and goes quieter than unity!

… would anyone mind trying theirs please out of interest? Most of my comps can meet unity gain with the compression maxed, just not this one. Only wouldn’t mind knowing if this is normal and as expected.
