shoulderpet Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Does anyone have experience with this pedal? My band has a couple of songs where the bass goes really high up the neck, I have a bass with 24 frets but I would rather just take one bass to rehearsals and gigs, how is the octave up function on this and is it good enough that I could use it to go up an octave on a bass solo? Thanks Quote

Thanks No, and you won't find an octave pedal that is. Quote

And to my knowledge there isn't really any viable solutions on the market that would do this convincingly. It's another matter when you mix the octave signal with the original signal, and add some overdrive and EQ to the pitched up signal, then you can get something somewhat passable out of it. But for your use I would assume the result would not be satisfactory, and frankly waste of money. You would end up with something that would sound somewhat more like a synth than a bass. Now this can of course be used as an effect, but I got the impression that is not what you had in mind. Edited 17 hours ago by Baloney Balderdash Quote

No, more like the bass part at the end of this song is more what I'm going for YouTube - Monaco - what do you want from me Quote
