My beautiful limited edition 4003 in a rare and striking looking 'Walnutburst' finish. This sounds as good as it looks with a fantastic sounding deep growl and smooth high end - low action, no fret buzz. which suits the neck. Certificated. Serial no in the pix - 12 - 04633 Manufactured on 2nd week of January 2012 - around my birthday in fact and is one of only 25 on the planet :) . I shall also include a black scratch plate / TRC (non original) and OHSC.

Am selling, as I am winding down a bit from performing and need to clear some gear - and I have a spare....

Collection is infinitely preferred, though if not too far and in the Essex / Suffolk / North Kent / Surrey area, could deliver for fuel considerations to be agreed!

Price reduced, after consultation, to acknowledge minor chips and ding near rear strap button..

Sensible px considered

My old 4003, which left me in perfect condition, This is a good 4003, good solid E string,  It left me sounding superb and was set up to play at fairly low action, obviously cannot comment on the set up at the moment, it was a good sounding Ric compared to others. When I purchased the bass I had a choice of 3 , this was the one that sounded best.

It sounds and feels exactly the same as when I bought from you, George, though slightly less trebly as I have strung with flats! 😀. The playability is wonderful as a result!

I did wonder whether to put flats on mine but it sounds and plays so nice as it is I don't want to mess that up. I'd love to put a gold pickguard and trc on it - but impossible to get hold of a good one.

I am sure it does, it is a great instrument, putting the finish aside.

Gig Ink over on Rickenfakers does plates n trc

I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
