Ashdown RM 800

Hi All,

Does anyone use an Ashdown RM800 head? If so what cab do you use with it?

 

I've looked at the RM 210 cabs but they say they're 300w at 8ohm?

 

Im assuming the rm800 is about 400w at 8ohm? So would that be bit too much for the 210 cabs?

It would if you push the volume (and possibly the low end) but I paired two RM210s with the RM500 head and never went past 11 o’clock on the volume for some pretty big stage gigs. When I used the set up just to match drum volume on pub gigs without FOH it didn’t go above 10 o’clock - for reference we were an Oi/Streetpunk band so not quiet. Watch your volume/input gain/low end and you should be fine.

I use a GR Bass 210 (600w @ 8 ohm). I gigged it last week with no PA support in a village hall, and it was not pushed particularly hard and sounded great.
