Just seen an ad by Fender. 

 

They're doing the fenders in 3ts sunburst but with a sparkle. 

 

Not sure if that's terrible or great?!

This is about the best rendition I've found of said finishes (TW: not a bass)

It's more subtle than the heavy flake finishes but I still like it.

 

With that said, Sire might be doing the best production instrument sparkle finishes at the moment with the V7 red burst...

Yep, I'll be having a sparkle red V7 for definite!

Nice. They must have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the Ultraburst finish on their current American Ultra line, to introduce a more affordable version of that. I think Ultraburst looks sweet too, but a bit more "orange" than this more classic finish on the Player II. I like it a lot.

These are limited editions right..? 

Andertons have an 'Ocean Turquoise' P bass listed on their site... which I guess is from the same range, but no mention of it anywhere on the Fender site...?

Anyone know 'owt about that...
