la bam Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Just seen an ad by Fender. They're doing the fenders in 3ts sunburst but with a sparkle. Not sure if that's terrible or great?! Quote
80Hz Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I fully support this! They don't seem to photograph very well though. Quote

80Hz Posted March 12 Posted March 12 This is about the best rendition I've found of said finishes (TW: not a bass) https://www.langleyguitarcentre.co.uk/products/fender-limited-edition-player-ii-stratocaster®-rosewood-fingerboard-sparkle-3-color-sunburst-coming-march-2025 It's more subtle than the heavy flake finishes but I still like it. With that said, Sire might be doing the best production instrument sparkle finishes at the moment with the V7 red burst... 1 Quote

LeftyJ Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Nice. They must have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the Ultraburst finish on their current American Ultra line, to introduce a more affordable version of that. I think Ultraburst looks sweet too, but a bit more "orange" than this more classic finish on the Player II. I like it a lot. Quote
Terry M. Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Saw one today in The Bass Gallery. It looks ok but wouldn't be my first choice. Quote

BassBiscuit Posted March 20 Posted March 20 These are limited editions right..? Andertons have an 'Ocean Turquoise' P bass listed on their site... which I guess is from the same range, but no mention of it anywhere on the Fender site...? Anyone know 'owt about that... Quote
crazycloud Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Sparkly sunburst is, to me, like putting glitter on a turd to try to make it more attractive. 3 Quote
