Bagman Posted April 15 Posted April 15 $9K USA is $15254.16 NZD I think that is considerably more than any instrument I have purchased (5-6x) but yes I'm a Tobias fanboy so it's on the list of things to try Had the Growler out for a session last weekend - such a versatile instrument Quote
ursus Posted Friday at 12:24 Posted Friday at 12:24 (edited) Here is my review from Thomann regarding Tobias Growler 5 lefty: I've had the bass for two weeks and am terribly disappointed with the manufacturer's quality control. The cover that protects the batteries and electronics is falling off. It is attached with 3 screws that are screwed into their brackets. Two of the screw brackets have come loose (the holes are too big) so the entire cover is loose. The dual tone control for the rear coil is very loose and rocks back and forth. I don't use the tone controls so I don't understand why it is loose? The frets stick out from the fretboard in many places. The sound and playability are completely OK sound clip inserted. Gibson is blundering here. The price in relation to the quality is out of proportion. PS! I sent this bass back yesterday. There where no QC sticker on the back either. A new one is on the way. Schnozzalee Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago They used all the stickers for the Kramer Special because they didn't think anyone would buy these pre-blowout. Quote
