So I'd been trawling about on tinternet for a new Squier Affinity active Jazz (the nice seafoam green one) and in among the usual suspects - PMT, Andertons etc was a company I'd never heard of called 'SCAN'.

A bit of research revealed that they have fingers in a few pies, Computers, Cameras, Gaming and musical instruments.

The bass was a tenner cheaper than elsewhere (apart from Thomann) but included was free postage AND a free pro 'set up' costing £100 according to their website so I pulled the trigger hoping that things would work out well....and they did!

Ordered the bass on Sunday, arrived on Tuesday really well set up, good comms, fast delivery and that free set up?

Very happy bunny.  Would be interested to hear others experience of Scan.

Good to hear as i'm considering getting a new nas from them. I had a DS918+ that got trashed due to being supplied with a disk that failed because it had incompatible firmware. I'm looking for the latest new version which is looking like a DS924 or 925 whatever gets released.

I've used Scan many times. Last couple of times ive spent about £3000 in total on keyboards from them (the music kind, not computer type).

Over the years they, along with eBuyer have been my go to computer supliers.

I've used them in the past for pedals, no problem at all and arrived quickly, I have a quick nose around to see what they have in now and then.

Local to me, right by the Bolton Wanderers ground.  Used them a lot for PC parts and always bang on.  Last time I was in they had loads of Hughes and kettner valve amps all nicely lit up on display

I bought my Ibanez from them and they did a set up before dispatching it, I think they have a dedicated pro-audio and music department - I met  a bunch of them last year as they had a big stand at the Guitar Show in 2024, not sure if they were there this year.

Like others above I have used them on many occasions over the years to buy computer parts and equipment but it wasn't until I saw them at the show that I realised they do music stuff.

I rate them highly they have always been very good with me - they have a solid returns policy which I have used in the past and decent customer service.

Used them for pretty much all my CPUs and motherboards. I'm another one who hadn't realised that they did musical instruments, though the range doesn't particularly appeal to me.

Bought a couple of RCF932A's from them a few months ago at a  great price. Delivery was spot on.

Used them for PC stuff years ago, never had any issues.
