1978 Fender Precision crimson red £2195 N Ireland

Here I have for sale a 1978/80 Fender Precision in Translucent Crimson with late 70's Fender case (Maroon Interior)

Totally all original and one owner from new who sadly passed away

Pickup cover is in the compartment, just didnt put it on so nothing missing

Weight is 4.6 Kg's

Lacquer checking to the edges as pictured but front and back are OK

Nice clean tuners, frets show minimal wear

All checked over and everything is functional, no issues with the truss

Nut width is 42mm

pots are dated 79 and pickups are 1980

A lovely well kept Precision, plays and sounds as a good P should

 

I have pics of the pots and pickups if required

 

 

I will include delivery with the price, I have priced it fairly due to it being all original and with the case...

Looks great. I'd say that's a slightly earlier case as they went to moulded plastic late 70s I think. (This is a good thing!)

 

I love the finish wear too.

I’d say that could be the original case, the logo with the made in USA underneath and the R symbol was used mid to late 70s, really nice colour and checking on body, very cool

Yes, quite possibly. Given the 1980 pickups I'd say that should be plastic case territory, but it doesn't matter. These cases are more valuable and this one looks in fantastic condition.
