IYV 5 String Headless Multi-scale bass - in immaculate condition, recently setup with fresh Rotosound strings. Price is what I paid for it plus the cost of a set of new strings.

I bought this recently on here to give headless / multiscale a try and whilst I quite like the multiscale thing, I’m not convinced about where I would use a headless bass so I’m going to let this go.

Perfect if you want to give multiscale a go, or if you fancy a headless bass on a budget. It’s light as anything and when I got it, it had a shim between the neck and body. I took this out, completely reset the bridge and neck and the action is now nice and low with no shim. I also gave it a nice fret dress; a little bit of levelling, crowning and polishing and the oil for the fingerboard. It’s had a good bit of love. It sounds great, active 3 band eq, nice and quiet and everything works as it should, truss rod moves nice and freely.

Any trial is welcome and collection is preferred as I don’t have a case for it. I would be happy to meet up depending on distance.

Postage is possible as I have acquired a box for this.

Do you know the scale lengths? I assume ~35-33"?

Just checked and yes - 35" and 33"

Like you, when you bought it, I'm curious to give the headless/fan fret five string thing a try without breaking the bank 😂!

I live in Cornwall so collection isn't an option for me. I do however have several guitar boxes I've kept from buying basses on line. I can send one of these to you together with packaging if this helps ?

I'm afraid I'll have to let this one go.

I offered on a similar headless 5 on Saturday being sold locally just 40 miles from where I live. My offer (and increased offer) were refused but the Seller has changed their mind and this morning come back and accepted.

So I've done the deal and pick up this evening.
