What Pedal to Get This Tone

Came across this just now and despite not being my normal tone, I do love it and the amount of dirt is quite subtle. Ian is probably using a Helix to create this but if I were to use a pedal, what type of pedal would I go for? I've never used overdrive, fuzz, distortion etc. so not sure what direction I should head towards to create this tone.

Id have thought a sansamp or its behringer clone would get you in the ballpark

Lacks quite a bit of low end.  I know Mark Stroemer or however you spell it who played bass on the track used a modified Boss Blues Driver for a lot of the Hot Fuss album and had that kind of tome on a lot of the songs

That's very very similar to my tone. I use a Sansamp.
