Delberthot Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Thomann sell Lollars but they only have the DC version as PJs https://www.thomann.co.uk/pickups_for_4_string_j_bass.html?manufacturer[]=Lollar&gk=GITABA4J&sp=solr&cme=true&filter=true Alternatively, try the UK dealers listed: https://www.lollarguitars.com/dealers-europe If they don't have them, they should be able to get them Quote

Sean Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) Toltec pickups from Leeds. They're from Laverack guitars. Lee is very helpful and makes a cracking pickup at very competitive prices. His J and P pickups are fantastic. Edited April 3 by Sean 1 Quote

Armstrong Pickups. Fife Pickups. There's also a lad called Martin Harmer, I've an alnico 2 spilt coil from him along with a 51 alnico 2 single coil and a pair of 51 singles for a Tele jazz bass. For the latter Martin cut me custom bobbins to match my string spacing at neck/bridge positions, wound the bridge pickup hotter (to hold it's own against the neck position) and RWRP for hum-cancelling. Turnaround for the pair was 1 week and they were under £100 with postage. Quote

I was quoted more than double that (£240) for a pair with customisation from a well-known UK maker. I needed 2 pairs of Js made up as humbuckers and it's the difference between £200 and £480 for total job of 4 coils. And because I'm familiar with Toltec and not with the other more expensive one, it's a no-brainer. 1 Quote

ezbass Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago There is Bareknuckle too: https://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/pickups/j-bass https://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/pickups/p-bass And don’t forget Germany’s Delano (I have these in a couple of custom basses), great customer service too, https://www.delano.de Quote
kodiakblair Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago If we're expanding the list to the rest of Europe, it'll get lengthy 😀 There's Hepcat over in France, Heaussel in Germany and Lundgren in Sweden. Spain had Jess Loueiro but I'm nit sure if he's still trading. Reckon I can add a few more when on lunch time break 👍 Quote
