Elfrasho Posted Thursday at 20:31 Posted Thursday at 20:31 I've been looking to get a 5 for a wee while then I saw a local band a few weeks ago and the bassist was playing one of these. It looked and sounded great and in fact I thought it was something a bit exotic. After a bit of googling I realised it was a cort and a very reasonable price for what you get. Got it today. First impressions is it sounds great. The string spacing feels close so will take a bit to get used to but don't think it will take long as it feels pretty comfortable. Love the look of it though. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and it definitely wouldn't have been my cup of tea even 10 years ago, but amazing how tastes change! 6 Quote
Mudpup Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago The Cort A series basses are amazing. Both in value and playability. Nice scoop.... Quote
franzbassist Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Very nice. I had one of the Cort SCMS range and it was a great bass. I put US Bartolini pickups and preamp in it and that took it to another level. 3 Quote

As a matter of interest, the pups you took out were also Bartolini? the ones in mine are Bartolini but presumable the US versions were an upgrade? or did yours have something differently completely? Yes, they were made in Asia. Sounded fine, as did the pre to be honest, but the US stuff was definitely a step up. Quote
Dood Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Some Dood from a while back rattling out a jam or two on a Cort: I think they’re cracking basses! Quote
