BassmanPaul Posted Friday at 20:44 Posted Friday at 20:44 My mind says that even though you burned the woofers the tweeter should have been protected by the crossover. Ā 1 Quote
patrikmarky Posted Saturday at 08:10 Author Posted Saturday at 08:10 I was wondering if the crossover is done .. Quote
BassmanPaul Posted Saturday at 20:18 Posted Saturday at 20:18 (edited) Why would it be? The crossover should have two wires coming from it that connect to the woofers. They should be the same colours as the wiring between the woofers. Ā If this is so in your case connecting these wires to the same colours on a woofer should bring the tweeter back on line. Phil Starr Posted Monday at 07:17 Posted Monday at 07:17 @BassmanPaulĀ is almost certainly right. If you can identify the wires going in to the crossover then one is positive and one negative. Often positive is red and negative black. The crossover may be a complex affair with a separate circuit for the bass drivers and the horn but often is just a simple high pass filter that only affects the tweeter. Take some pics if you aren't sure and someone will advise how to connect everything. 2 Quote
