It was supposed to be mounted horizontally under the rear most top rail, which would have been right at the back. Just before he pressed the print button, as a final proof @rwillett asked me to measure the internal dimensions of the flight case and the biggest pedal that was going on the top deck. He then modelled it, and voila the pedal poked up through the flight case lid. By quite a lot, like most of the pedal quite a lot.

 

Cue muffled swearing and a lot of rethinking to come up with what, we think, is a very neat solution.

That looks very well thought out. I bought a pair of those 3d printed brackets to add your own wood too. First stomp it broke. 😭

My brackets take 100Kg, tested to more than that with a rugby player standing on one leg to put all the weight on one foot on one bracket, so let me know if you need some proper ones printed
