Bought this last week, I don’t really know what was in my head as it would involve either butchering my old faithful Jazz…which I’m not going to do…or buying a new jazz which I really don’t want to do.

there isn’t enough space in the cavity to fit a battery and I don’t want to rout the back of the bass.

It’s come from Phill Mann’s overwater bass, and seeing how I love my Bartolini equipped Gibson I probably thought I’d shove it in my Jazz and be happy.

But I hadn’t really thought about what I was doing when I messaged him and bought it.

He kindly included some knobs and a jazz bell plate.

You’ll need to solder a jack on and the battery clip - all diagrams included.

If you’re adding to a jazz, it’ll need to be an edge mount jack socket.

Would be a mega upgrade to any Sire bass, or a Fender Marcus Miller model, possibly Sadowsky Metro?

I suspect there’s enough meat on the cables for it to be off the bell plate and be retrofitted to any 4 pot setup.

Price includes shipping in the UK.

Happy to listen to offers on this as I’ve no intent on fitting it to anything and I have nowhere to store it.

Would entertain trades on a pedal, fresh sets of strings etc.

Is it 2 or 3 band? Does it have passive mode and is there a passive tone control in passive mode? Cheers

3 band. No passive mode that I’m aware of.

I actually have no clue

“Electronics: Bartolini HR-4.6AP/918 (Active/Passive circuit). Layout: Vol-Blend-Mid (250-800Hz parametric) Bass/Treble stack.”

that’s what was listed on Phil Mann’s website before he put trickfish on there…
