Si600 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I've just noticed that the bridge on my Squier Jazz 5er is curling up at the back, the fulcrum is the fixing screws. It's the standard Fender/Squier improved BBOT, the ones with the solid block rather than being bent and to my eyes looks identical to the one on my Fender P-Bass V. Can I do anything about it or is it a new bridge time, chunkier construction like a Schaller or a BadAss? It's strung with D'Addario ECB81-5 standard tuning. Quote
neepheid Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Tail lift, nothing you can really do about it other than replace the bridge. If you try to bend it back into shape, it'll just bend up again I reckon. Quote
PaulThePlug Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Pics? Mounting screws still tight? I'd be sending pics to Fender asking if there was a 'Bad Batch' along with your address for them to send the free replacement. Quote
Dood Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Funnily, I was just looking at cheap replacement bridges and noted a comment on one of the budget brands that despite having an all steel base plate, a customer found that several they bought all evenutally bent too easily, so maybe worth buying in to a decent branded example.
