BigRedX Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Obvious. It's a short scale Woolies Special that's been stripped, de-fretted and then fitted with a mudbucker and a damaged Strat scratch plate. What else do you need to know? The case looks quite nice. Quote
simonlittle Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Looks like they’ve tried to stain it with old tea bags… Quote

The body looks very Strat too, but without the pickup cutouts. That was what was puzzling me. Quote

The neck and bridge/tailpiece are almost certainly from a Kay/Top Twenty bass. I wonder if the body is off something like a Futurama where pickups were part of the scratch plate and didn't need routing into the body? Quote
Bassassin Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I think it's a hardtail Strat copy body with a bit of veneer (of some description!) stuck over the front to cover the pickup routing. Neck & bridge 100% from some random budget shortscale. Anyone want to volunteer to drop £260 on it to find out? Quote
