Well I really didn't need another bass, I think having 7 after only playing for 12 months is probably a sign that I have fallen victim to GAS, but as a huge Guy Pratt fan I couldn't resist any longer and I have no regrets.

There are lots of reviews saying how good, and what great value these basses are and I cant argue with any of them.  Even with my limited experience, and even more limited ability I can say it is an absolute joy to play and the finish and the overall quality far exceed what I expected at this price.

Lovely looking bass @Eric_Wombat. I must admit, I've pondered getting one of these - even though I already have way too many. I particularly like the colour, it's a pinkish burgundy wine, and i think it's a great colour.

I've not played one of these, but have heard great reports from owners and people who've tried them out.

I quite liked Guy Pratt, and he went up in my estimations after reading his book - very well written, and so entertaining. Also, I really enjoyed his lockdown videos & bass lessons.

Enjoy your new bass 😀

He was a properly good bloke and really down to earth when he came to the last SE Bass Bash - and absolutely hilarious. How many players of his stature would leave his original Betsy and the Spector he used to record Like a Prayer sitting on stage after his talk and say, “I’ll just leave those there if anyone wants to have a go on them…”?

Barry Moorhouse brought a range of his Bass Collection basses to try out and I can confirm that the Betsy copies are really, really nice. Properly tempted.

Enjoy it! I’m not the slightest bit jealous, honest!

Wow! He's just gone up even more in my estimations of him. Wish I'd been there, I'd have really enjoyed a noodle on both those basses.

Thanks for sharing this info & the pics 😀
