Fender jazz ultra 2 preamp

Just wondered if the new preamp, as fitted to the new ultra 2 basses is available to buy ?

I'm not sure if any of their preamps are available to buy separately?

 

What is it about it in particular why you'd want one?

Just curious more than anything.

I don't know for sure but apart from the S-1 switch weirdly now operating the active/passive option instead of the more usual series/parallel feature I doubt it's broken any new sonic barriers. I tried one (Jazz Ultra ii V) and it seemed like business as usual but at a higher price. Nothing wrong with it but nothing in my mind to justify the price hike.Can't understand going from a toggle switch to S-1 on active/passive but hey.
