Footswitch loud click/pop?

Hey folks! 

 

My Buddha Chakra compressor (which I've had for years and absolutely LOVE) seems to have developed a really audible click/pop when activated.... Not the best at a gig!

 

I'm assuming it's wear and tear on the actual footswitch contacts, and maybe the footswitch component just needs replacing? I do really love it so I want to keep it going if possible, I've previously replaced the DC power socket after that became worn.

 

Just wondered if anyone more knowledgeable has any thoughts/input on this?
