HeadlessBassist Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Not sure whether anyone else has put this up, but I can't decide whether she's joking or completely serious... 1 1 Quote
Hellzero Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Looks like she never heard anything about the Synthaxe... 1 Quote

itu Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Neuser Claudia had a keyboard in the 1990's. Misa Tri-Bass had a touch fretboard. Steve Chick has made split fret neck instruments since 1985, although split fret neck was invented by Bob Murrell in 1964 (Guitorgan with six voice polyphony). Burns did first active electronics in 1963. Ovation created piezo pickup, and Ron Hoag optical pickup in late 1960's. What's new? What should we expect to see in the near future? BabyBlueSound Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's always the keys. How about some actual trend setting? Drum skins on basses to provide ourselves a snare backbeat? Or a fretboard somewhere on a drum? Quote

I'll second that - after all, this very week, the 'new' Player II Modified has taken things from very the very colourful and creative Player Plus finishes to boring again. Quote
Burns-bass Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It’s a 4 year old video, so it seems the “innovation” hasn’t caught on. Shes a great player though and if you like that sort of music (which I sometimes do) she plays with some great people. 2 Quote
Hellzero Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago @itu IIRC, the piezo pickup was invented by Lloyd Loar to amplify mandolins when he was working for Gibson in the 1920's... So nothing new under the sun. 😉 Quote

miles'tone Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I enjoyed that. She's obviously very nice and happy and having fun with her lot. Imagine being in a position where when you get GAS, the Fender custom shop just make it for you and send a pair over? She's living the life and good luck to her I say. 1 Quote
