Dad3353 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 There had been signs in the 'Depression' topic; her latest post, end of November, showed cause for some optimism, but it would seem that the Black Dog would not let go. RIP, Sam. 2 1 Quote
3below Posted April 17 Posted April 17 A big loss to bc and humanity in general. I always found Sam to be highly supportive, intelligent and just good to chat with in many pms over the last few years. Sad news. 3 Quote

RIP, Sam. That had been what had prompted my investigation, but the memorial page is from MacMillan and so there may have been another explanation. No age to go, but it would have been all the more tragic had she had a hand in it hertself. Edited April 17 by Steve Browning 4 4 Quote

Maude Posted Saturday at 11:46 Posted Saturday at 11:46 I'm lost for words. So sad and a real loss. May I be so bold as to quote the final line of a beautiful post to Sam by @Dad3353 in the depression topic, a line which I think would echo all of our thoughts... "Thank you for your participation on this Forum; we are all the better for it." 12 3 Quote
Cliff Edge Posted Saturday at 13:53 Posted Saturday at 13:53 This is very sad news. Sam gave me reassuring and helpful advice around the time of my cardiac surgery. 2 Quote
bass_dinger Posted Monday at 18:39 Posted Monday at 18:39 @SamIAm - a sad loss. She had enough character to leap off of the pages of this forum, and become a real personality - honest, warm, engaging, funny. And not embarrassed to be in a ukulele band. 13 Quote
Marvin Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I've not been very active on here for a number of years so didn't know Sam. However, I've just read the depression thread and it's heart breaking. Whatever the cause of her passing to be that unwell mentally is awful and must have been terrifying for her. It's very upsetting. Rest in peace Sam 6 1 Quote
