Well I'm just back from the Wakefield area and a battle through the maelstrom known as the M1, where I picked up this bitsa Jazz. It consists of a roasted Mexican Fender neck, a 'Guitar & Bass Build' high polished body, Schaller tuners, Hipshot bridge and active EMG pickups. I'll report more on the sound tomorrow when I've put some decent strings on it and set it up properly...

That bass looks amazing, love the scratch plate, hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks :)

Well... Changed the battery under the Scratch Plate, inspected all the crazy EMG wiring under the Control Plate, and put on a fresh set of Elixir 40-95's and it sings. Never had a Bass with those active EMG's before and I have to say, it's a very balanced and punchy sound. Didn't even need to play with the action - it's already on the deck and relief looks perfect. I'd say it's a winner.

That's terrific, glad you are happy with it :)

Very nice. I'd seen this out there on the interwebs and thought it looked very distinctive and tastefully put together. I just wasn't in need of another jazz! Glad it found a new home 😀
