probonopublico Posted Friday at 15:16 Posted Friday at 15:16 Hello Ā I have anĀ ibanez sg 700bbf and it needs a new barrel jack.Ā does anyone know where to get one or a substitute?Ā Quote
tauzero Posted Saturday at 02:16 Posted Saturday at 02:16 Active bass? You probably wantĀ https://www.guitarmania.co.uk/product/neutrik-barrel-jack-socket-nys2203/Ā but do a search on the part number NYS2203 to see if you can get it cheaper. Also worth posting the the "Repairs and Technical" sub-forum. 1 Quote
Chiliwailer Posted Saturday at 07:07 Posted Saturday at 07:07 One of these will do it Gus, needs to be a stereo one for the active power to be on.Ā Ā Barrel jacks often fail, so worth getting a name brand over a cheapie I think - you may find a cheaper Switchcraft elsewhere if you look? In the end, my problem was a dodgy Fender lead with an out of tolerance jack.Ā Ā There is an Ibanez dedicated spares site, it's not easy to use - doesn't really work on mobile. It's under support on the Ibanez website. Ā https://cs.hoshinogakki.co.jp/pcw.nsf Ā Ā Edited Saturday at 11:17 by TimR 1 Quote

Thatās really good to read, it is a great Jazz, I remember how the balance and feel are amazing, and the stacked Fralins sounded great in it š Ā I ended up with another Jazz, finally found a CS relic with a neck and balance that actually feels just like my old original 64, and it sounds lovely - and same as you, after all these years Iām not using a P anymore, which I never would have believed if someone told me itād happen.
